In 2015 BakPak Architects and EOVASTUDIO entrusted Brick Visual to render their design plans for the architecture competition of a new Sports Park in the city of Sosnowietz. The new area aims to equip and revitalize the outskirts of the city. The complex includes a 15.000-seat football stadium, a sports pavilion for 2000 people and another one for ice sports. The three different buildings are placed around a central open space. The architects’ design is clear and reflects on the history of the city.
This architectural visualization project is an excellent example of a final concept that is based on the very first sketch. The initial draft is not even a render, but a screenshot from the 3D program, that was additionally matte-painted in about 30 minutes. BakPak’s open and flexible attitude toward our ideas greatly contributed to the final result.
The aim of the still images was to put geometric forms on display in the most natural way. The most important guiding forces in the composition were simplicity and clarity, thus we kept the details very low, and rather put emphasis on the large shapes. Basically, this is the main strength of these visuals. It may sound simple, but in practice it is fairly difficult to make a scene lively while using the minimum amount of additional details. Our main visualization tools were the depth of the image and aerial perspective, and we achieved those by the difference in intensity.
