The upper and lower levels of this rambling timber beachhouse were either underutilised or failed to fully capture the dramatic bay views provided by its ridgetop setting. The owners bravely set about refurbishing the house from top to bottom and a much improved zoning, capacity and level of comfort was achieved by completely reorganising the internal and external circulation whilst doubling the size of the upper level living areas and adding significant areas of new decking.
A mix of timber, galvanised steel, glass and steel cladding creates a rich palate of external materials that sits well within the tee-tree setting.
