French architecture firm, AEV Architectures, winner in the biennale of Florence 2019, has realized the restaurant SOON GRILL CHAMPS ELYSEES in the heart of Paris.
Space born of dance:
The famous dancer Hyaeyoung SON has captured the most beautiful movements of Seungmu, Korean traditional dance and her choreography is freely expressed in space of Soon Grill. The artist’s gestures are amplified by the long sleeves and unfold within the space. The traces they left are pictured by a luminous wave which is materialized by a sophisticated device, jointly imagined by the architect Woojin LIM and the scenographer Mitia CLAISSE. Therefore, the restaurant becomes the playground of the enigmatic dancer in which we are invited to discover the Korean gastronomy.
It is a rare instance that presents dance as a spatial theme. Here, the art of dancing meets a material and tangible dimension to create a unique living space.
