One of the
first residential projects undertaken by LABYRINTH, the Soni residence
adheres to the client brief to a T as one of the prime concerns of the brief
was to have house that was unique in all aspects, but especially aesthetics.
The soft curvilinear language with a hint of Art Deco contrasts with the rich
colorful interior spaces. The dining space under the central shaft doubling as
a wind tunnel goes to become a core element that ties the functions together on
all three stories. The other pièce de résistanceof this
project is the spiral staircase designed to guide the eye upwards as if lifting
the spirit of the witness.
