- After a long journey flowing down from the North, the Red River branched into the Duong River. The house is located in a small village at the confluence of the rivers. This village remains somewhat quiet and peaceful despite the effects of urbanization.
- The house was built for a family with parents and two children. The owner wishes to live a slow and gentle life, taking care of their home and plants every day.
- The house is designed inward. The living spaces and bedrooms are located towards the rear of the house, where there is a veranda, a garden stretching down to the waterfront. The kitchen and toilet are put in an unfavorable direction into a technical axis. The stairs and the corridor in the middle connecting the spaces.
- Natural light is brought into the space through the veranda and overhead windows in many directions, the intensity of light softened and the residents clearly feel the change of light at different times of the day, and at different seasons of the year.
- Cubes and architectural details are designed simply and according to the principle of accretion, stacking, and placing on top of each other, sometimes with some freedom and improvisation. With the thinking that the house is like the body, the family living inside is the soul, and the longer life goes on, the more profound the soul and body grow.
