The project is located on Jinjia Mountain in Tonglu County, which offers a wide field of vision. With the result of a height difference of 20 meters, the design adopts a layered shape that causes the volume to seemingly be integrated into the surrounding environment, which emphasizes naturalism, localization, and minimal intervention. Furthermore, via the creative organization of paths, it blends the delight of hiking and mountain vistas into the lifestyles. The future habitats may immerse themselves in a natural setting rich by strolling around and taking in the changing landscape. The architectural materials used reflect the wildness of the landscape as well as the elegance of the residences. The layered shape and openness to the natural environment make concrete the ideal material over rough materials, and the texture formed by the wooden formwork gives the concrete a character similar to that of natural stone. The housing is built into the hillside by the topography. The structure itself serves as a mediator for bringing people and the environment together.
