Confronted with an empty “raw” apartment space with under-designed mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, and a leaking infrastructure; this triplex “bachelor pad” penthouse was designed from scratch to take advantage of the abundant outdoor terrace space and stunning views. Walnut doors, trim, cabinetry, and grille-work; dark oak wood floors, luxurious specialty plaster, and wall paper finishes were employed throughout to create the contemporary, warm, and comfortable interior the client requested. The attention to detail extends through the new divided-light, energy efficient window-wall system with French doors and louvered awnings to the outside garden terraces, which include new stone pavers, an outdoor fireplace, a hot tub, and a pergola.
