Building a Stronger Community, One Step at a Time
To create a civic building that is not merely a functional space, but a vibrant hub for community interaction and well-being. This concept integrates a health center and barangay hall within a single structure, fostering a holistic approach to community development. A publicly accessible, open staircase serves as the heart of the building, symbolizing connection, accessibility, and social cohesion. Communal Nexus concept aims to create a building that is more than just a structure; it is a living, breathing part of the community, promoting health, well-being, and social cohesion.
Purity, Order, and Community
The barangay hall as a symbol of community governance and service should reflect cleanliness, efficiency, and unity. The combination of these materials creates a visual language that communicates a pure, organized, and protgressive barangay. The white dominance evokes a sense of cleanliness and efficiency, essential qualities for effective governance. The perforation symbolizes transparency and openness, while the steel elements ground the structure and suggest stability.
