Project is the finalist of a two-stage architectural and urban competition for the concept of a multi-family residential and service complex in the area between Zatorska and Odolanowska streets in Wrocław.
The main idea behind the design of the "Zatorska" housing estate - a new housing enclave in Wrocław - was to create a space promoting the creation of interpersonal relations.
When analyzing the plot intended for the future development, we excavated a stream that cuts it through, surrounded by delicate vegetation. We created an axis of future events from it - the backbone for the city park meandering along it on the east-west plane. Contrary to these assumptions, on the north-south axis, we have established an urban space in the form of an oblong square surrounded by buildings for service and residential purposes. The resulting division organizes the space of the entire estate development and gives us great satisfaction from the possibility of developing green and park spaces and treating them as a priority.
The key issue for us was to design a space that would be available to all user groups, regardless of age, social status or any kind of limitations. Basic public institutions, such as schools, kindergartens, medical clinics, are accompanied by facilities such as a community center or a day care center. Common spaces have been enriched with playgrounds, an outdoor gym or climbing walls, located primarily in the park area.
