Soccer Academy Klagenfurt

The soccer academy is organized as a part of
the Sportpark Klagenfurt, including the Wörthersee-Stadium and the
Multi-purpose sports hall. The entrance area connects the soccer academy with
the multi-purpose sports hall as well as the shops and cafeteria on the ground
floor. In the 1st floor the school and the corresponding locker
rooms are located, the bedrooms are located in the eastern part of the 2nd
floor while the western part is used for offices of the departments of sports of
the municipiality of Klagenfurt and the region of Carinthia.
The design-concept was developed with the input
of the users. The bedrooms were designed as duplex units, every two rooms have their
own small community room with a small kitchen and seating area, three rooms
were designed as mini-apartments.
Special attention was paid to spacious storage
rooms, used for the sport equipment of the users.
Main materials used are oak timber, black rubber,
black coated aluminium sheets and corresponding to the facing concrete of the
walls and the ceiling, grey stoneware was used.
The sanitary rooms as well as the storage rooms
have green rubber floors, while the bedrooms and community areas are designed
very homelike, using lots of wood.
