Snow King Observatory and Planetarium is a vision by Astronomer Samuel Singer, of Wyoming Stargazing. In 2015, the project started with Designer Jakub Galczynski to promote astronomy to the community of Jackson Hole and serve as a Dark Sky preservation initiative.
In 2021, Jakub Galczynski partnered with Jackson-based Farmer Payne Architects ( Architect-of-Record ) to bring the observatory to its fruition. The observatory opened on June 1st, 2024 with a notable appearance and presentation by Bill Nye 'The Science Guy'..
