A corporation is an artificial person and in this sense may have artificial responsibilities, but "business" as a whole cannot be said to have responsibilities”.AND IT WAS CLEAR WHEN Milton Friedman WROTE HIS FAMOUS ARTICLE IN THE NEW YORK TIMES STATING “The Social Responsibility of Business Is to Increase Its Profits”. IT WAS ONLY THEN THAT ON the international level - specifically in the big industrial and commercial countries -, a goal has been set to achieve a balanced cooperation between the state, the businessmen and the society.The shrinking of the government's role in economic and social development caused the private sector to have an important role in the serious contribution to initiate development.THAT TYPE OF CHANGE IS WHAT THE COMMERCIAL AND TRADING SECTOR MERELY NEED IN EGYPT, SIMPLY IT NEEDS TO witness a new relationship between the private sector and the government AND IT NEEDS TO INITIATE the culture of the corporate social responsibility and the idea of directing investments to the public benefit.
