This is a small library in a historic building, We hold on to the idea of respecting the old buildings, according to the existing wooden structure and the previous life style, Create an open little library, In terms of materials, we use wooden plywood, glass bricks, iron plates, etc., to make the entire indoor space as light as possible visually. Through our design, we highlight the characteristics of historical buildings.
Spatial organization Using a frame made of iron plates and books, several different levels are created in the interior to reflect different reading methods. Material use The glass brick is used to talk to the old red brick material, and the iron frame creates another level of relationship with the old wooden structure. Lighting Design Mainly use indirect lighting to create a comfortable space experience. At the same time, the wooden structure of the historic building is illuminated.
