A little barn conversion this time! This stable has been converted into a two-bedroom, fully accessible, annex for elderly relatives.
The original roof structure and sarking boards were retained and celebrated, with a new roof built over. The old hay manger has been repurposed as guarding for the mezzanine, which provides much-needed extra space and a camping platform for the grandchildren. This is a very modern, low carbon home, but the beauty and charm of the original building can still be enjoyed, with the timber roof structure creating a warm canopy above the living space.
