The 57th level of the Marina Bay Sands resort and casino comprises a grand Skypark with pools, sitting areas, observation decks and dining areas. JZA+D provided complete architecture and design services for this 300 seat restaurant, bar, and lounge. Located on the southern end of the park and with expansive views of Singapore, Malaysia and the Pacific ocean, the dynamic and open floor plan is a modern space that is understated yet full of simulating visual features. JZA+D created a sleek setting that is accentuated by glass panels with embedded photographic images; floating ceiling panels with several dropped chandeliers framed by a drop ceiling cutout that is uplit; recessed and lit soffits create visual movement through the space, and flowing fins around the kitchen transition it to a "special feature." In addition to space planning, programming, schematic design, construction document review and coordination, and partial construction administration, the project included complete interior design services. JZA+D also designed all furniture pieces, some light fixtures and prepared furniture, fixture, and equipment packages.
