This is a competition for the project of an apartment building facing the San Isidro Golf course in Lima, Peru. Lima is a vibrant and chaotic city where everyone seems to “go with the flow” so the concept for the building is based upon a geometry that aims to invoke a flow of a white wall that embraces the space in order to achieve a dynamic and complex geometry that relates to the rhythm of Lima itself. It consists of 10 flats with 540sqm each with a double height living room, a pool and a 50sqm garden with a small tree in the ground floor. Both living room and main bedroom face the golf which is the main view. The poll seats within the garden separated by a glazed window and a water “screen” so that one can see what is happening in the water trough a large glass panel. There is a family room, a dining room, a kitchen, a small study, two service bedrooms, and a guest toilet in the ground floor, and 4 bedrooms and laundry on the fist floor. The diversity of the main façade elements try to create some shadow in the living room and garden in a way that the exterior view will be “framed” and the interior shadows will vibrate randomly throughout the living room. There is a underground parking for 96 cars. The exterior materials are steel, white painted plaster, caste concrete and blue tainted glass.
