Skoro Vesna (The Spring is Near), a large fun restaurant, is located in historical building in the center of Saint-Petersburg. It is eclectic in decor and menu - serving signature dishes from a number of cuisines from caucus to European.
The ground floor of the restaurant is home to a wine shop and bar, with white tiled walls, elaborate copper pipe lighting, cork art pieces, concrete floors and pressed wood chip ceilings. The bar of solid lilac marble is beautifully offset by the bright red wine cabinets and can serve patrons both inside and outside the venue through a window.
A funky stair vestibule greets the guests and leads them upstairs into the main restaurant with its striped decor literally piercing both floors. The restaurant itself consists of four distinctive rooms, and each could have been a separate restaurant in the strength of its concept. The black room takes its name after the color of the walls, that act as a backdrop to scandinavian inspired sofa and chairs and soviet era inspired custom cabinet. The centerpiece for this room is the large 'Molecule' chandelier that was custom made to Megre Interiors specifications.
The Family room on the other hand is a light and airy area with bright red curtains and blue and grey accents. It is The Family room because it also has a children's play area. Banquette Hall Room has a look of a New York hippy hotel lobby due to its leathered upholstery, green wood-paneling and moldings, marble tables and olden books library which has a secret door that leads to The Apartment, the exclusive members only area of the restaurant. Providing a 14 seats room which is set up as an eclectic Saint-Petersburg apartment with its own small kitchen where the guests can assist the chef in preparation of their meal, or read by the TV in the lounge area. The Apartment also boasts of its own entrance and bathroom, where one uses the bathtub instead of a sink to wash hands.
