The project is situated in a new area of Tirana. It extends east to west, from the industrial buildings along with new developments in infrastructure, a crucial point that will make this place beneficial for the upcoming urban progress.
The structure is located in one of the most important parts of the capital. That is why FORM architects proposed creating a public space, which will serve not only as a centre for the community, but will also connect the pedestrian ways that permeate the area.
The facility has such a shape that divides the area into two green surfaces intertwined with the pedestrian ways. The public space denotes two different atmospheres; a urban space with sculptural greenness for the commercial part, which lies near the main street and a warmer green space with fruit trees in the back of it.
The composition of these two spaces makes the core of philosophy for the capital’s development. To summarize, the residential structure includes the green commercial part in the main street and its suitable environment created especially for the residents within the area.
SiRI is formed by overlapping cubes connected to the centre, where is created a unique and optimal form, which increases the sun and air’s exposure. In parts where cubes lack, are created green terraces. The latter have the ability to manipulate the initial form and create gaps which allow the sunlight to come in.
The space offers great lifestyle opportunities for all the individuals who admire both nature and the vitality of urban life.
SiRI Project is designed in such a way as to be a unique structure in the heart of the city, not an isolated object. To conclude, in this place nature melts with civilisation.
