Single room occupancy housing center in Shaker Heights, an historic suburb of Cleveland, Ohio. Beginning with the design of a single room that could be
aggregated into a network of architectural nodes, the process created diagonally stacked rooms with high levels of visibility between units. This creates a sense of shared private space that strategically moves beyond the SRO typology to foster community among the social housing occupants. A public farmer's market is positioned below on the ground floor. Second year studio project with professor Jason Turnidge, Spring 2009.
