The simple house is a project for a small single-family home in the picturesque area of Radovljica, Slovenia. The basic shape of the house is archetypical ' a clean volume with a pitched roof. The size and proportions of the house are related to the old farmhouses in the surroundings. This clean, abstracted traditional volume is wrapped in a contemporary envelope, which covers all the windows and loggias, creating an anonymous, windowless exterior. The envelope is abstracted through a pattern of lines ' horizontal lines of wooden louvres on the southern and northern facade on the ground floor, and vertical lines of metal joins on the roof. The louvres on the northern and southern facade serve as a veil, provides privacy, but at the same time allow views of the surrounding landscape.

The house was constructed from ecological and economical materials which require very little maintenance consisting of prefabricated wooden frames, which were assembled on-site in a matter of days. The roof and facade are made of zinc sheet metal and wood.

The house is very low-tech in nature ' solar heat collectors on the roof and the central heating plant are the only technological elements. Despite lack of forced ventilation of special envelope seals the running costs are very low.

The distribution of spaces is very functional, based on a 'corridorless' design, with spaces smoothly connection to each other. The exterior of the house is used depending on the weather and mood of the occupants 'to quote the owner:'In the colder days, we use the southern terrace. In summer, we hide from the heat in the shade of the northern terrace. Mostly, we keep everything open, and communicate throughout the house. And sometimes, if we want privacy, we simply wrap ourselves in our little cocoon and relax.'
