As a renovation project, architect considered that the renovation should not be just simply based on the ideal space, but rather to improve the previous inconvenient condition as well as explore the asset of this building and express it as a prominent character. The approach was a soft transition from old to new.
Differences varieties in windows are emphasized as never before, which led to varieties in different rooms. Transform the stereotyped window and forcibly added balconies to different sizes, framed scenes and view-blocking to adapt to the atmosphere of different rooms. This once dark and heavy interiors of this hotel are now light and transparent.
Stairwell is combined with library to activate the vitality and style of the public space; and mirrors are utilized to create an extended far-reaching spatial imagination to break the boundary of space pattern in transitional staircases.

It is not necessary to Intentionally expect the rural architecture to be reconstructed the impression of transitional rural landscape for responding to people's imagination of "a traditional villages".
