This project had aimed to intervene in the ground floor, which was formerly a workshop, and to re-qualify all the exterior area.
The coordinating element of the project is the "Pergola", which was introduced inside the existing building, on the south facade, and it takes advantage from the existing span on the workshop. The "Pergola" is understood as the main element, which aggregates and unifies the interior and exterior plans of the project. This intervention is assumed as new and exclusive, distancing itself from the architectural line of the existing building.
It was taken advantage of the pre-existing structure and this was potentiated with the introduction of an artistic tree shaped element, which was able to camouflage and dissipate the presence of the pillars in key areas of the project, and it elevated the architectural interest of the project spaces.
