Designed for the compact city apartment, this prototype is designed to fit into a standard residential window sill. Using natural daylight to lower power requirements, the aquaponic system consists of a semi-outdoor greenhouse and suspended fish-tank that provides organic nutrients for the plants.Our first built prototype was displayed within a windowframe mockup atthe Yonkers Science Barge in June 2010, as part of a public exhibit and educational program about aquaponics.
