This project is located in the Mideast of Isfahan not close to the ancient part of the city, but in heart of semi-new residential area, precisely close to Sajad high street which is expected to become a commercial district so there is and regulation for its height and material color.
In this lot there was an old residence which the owner decides to add more apartments for his two sons this change and locating by a gas station and previous description about the area and its regulations all together was the challenge to overcome in the design.
As we expect, the gas station never gets higher than one store the lot’s east face would be visible from the high-street and so it became a part of city face.
East side of this project and all other projects facing the same issue with lack of codes remains undesigned, as side faces of buildings must be connected to each other, but different heights causes an unexpected rough and without openings and finishings. strongly in this project east face is exposed to the main street and plays a part in city continues face from back of the gas station as we decided to make it vivid by the functionality and connectivity of spaces under its skin.
