A house for a young family that fosters a connection with the surrounding forest. Bedrooms, dining and living areas, and a guest room are spread across three volumes connected by passageways and covered outdoor terraces all linked by a single roofline, creating a continuous experience that softens the boundaries between interior and exterior space. Alaskan yellow cedar is used as cladding and left unfinished so that a patina will develop, incorporating time as an element in the design. The interiors finishes and structure are also wood.
