Shell Gate is proof that smaller budgets and spaces are never setbacks in recognizing your home’s potential.
Our task was to take this small, tired-looking 1950’s ranch home in Alameda and breathe new life into it while maximizing every inch of space. This young family envisioned a coastal oasis that would give them room for everyday living and creating new memories.
Given the project’s tight budget, we focused on key areas that would maximize value and space, including revamping the great room and kitchen, expanding the master bath, and adding a play loft to the child’s bedroom that creates more usable space within the existing footprint.
Visual exterior touches like dark paint, palm trees, and custom planters completed the refresh, helping this home maintain the community’s character while also elevating the standard of living.
