The Student Housing building is situated on a rare empty spot in the central area of Bucharest. The planning parameters offer the possibility to build a high-density project, and the main challenge for Biroarchitetti was to combine this high-density with a high-quality environment that respects the scale of the low buildings surrounding the site. This is why the building has been divided in three parallel units, separated by courtyards and connected by suspended bridges. The building has a strong green component – courtyards and terraces are all gardens. The care for the quality of living goes from the scale of the city to the scale of the user – student rooms are smart, flexible, full of light.
