The project concerned the re-use of a trapezoidal lot fronting park of the Coriano’s church, which is currently occupied by a soccer field and a long disused building once used as a cinema and theater. The new requirements of parish and the poor condition of the existing structure put us on the choice of demolishing the old building by designing a new one that wil take the same position and shape of the previous building. Our structure is developed on three levels with a strong leaning to aggregation activities.The building can be ideally divided in two blocks, a first block that is developed from the mid-volume to the most private area of the lot is occupied on the three levels by service rooms and study rooms for the teaching of catechism, a second block open towards the park and to a litle piazza is almost entirely occupied by a double volume though to host events, collective meetings, screenings and special ceremonies. The outdoor area was then redesigned with the establishment of a piazza opened to the road and to the church’s park obtained by relocating the soccer field in different location on the lot.
