The Lachman Residence gave us a great setting to create a brand new modern landscape to match the equally gorgeous modern architecture of the home. This project gave us the perfect opportunity to implement our water saving landscape design. We did this by using drought tolerant plants and creating interesting patterns by using concrete. You can see examples of these patterns on the driveway which is inset with artificial grass, the undulating pathway along the side of the home, and the concrete pavers in the back yard that have open joints with a hidden basin below that allows water to filter down. The back yard also hosts a stunning swimming pool as it's both a zero edge, which is made to have the water level flush with the ground, and an infinity edge which fades seamlessly with the serene view and reflect the beautiful Los Angeles sky.
