Public squares are “working” very good when there are many people. That places were built for citizens but it’s almost empty when there aren’t any concert, festival, performance, political meetings.
The aim of the project is to attract people to the same place again but with another square’s “dress”.
By formulating the concept of the public square there is a chance toshow that in the apparent nothingness there are still some very strong architectural possibilities.
This project aims to accent the importance of public space as a catalyst of big city life. This is a temporary installation, an exchangeable one, a multi-purpose. It’s not attached to the fixed places. Thus, the “wood” installation looks like a attempt to create nothing else but another reality even if it’s unlimited space for the certain place.
Destination: - for the “naked” squares; - for the open-air areas without greenery.
!This installation doesn’t destroy, close or shade an existing environment. The one thing only is in addition of its light!
