This is our proposal for the New Republic's Senate Headquarters. There where 96 entries nationwide. Our good friend Javier Muñoz from Mérdia Yucatán ( www.munozarquitectos.com ) got the first prize and up to date the construction is at 80% (2010). Second place was awarded to Teodoro González de León (Mexicos "Government" architect, since he has built EVERY large government building since the 1970s) and ourselves in 3rd Place. I had the chance to ask a senator why did they give us third prize, and his answer was: "Lucio, the windows on your project suck doorknobs". Pretty funny. That's how the world works.
