STATUS
Built
YEAR
2010
The site has been located in a 6m width alley in a dense historic neighborhood in Isfahan. People living in this district are mostly introverted and traditional. So closets, cabinets and shelves has been located in the side which faces the street while openings have been pulled back from this side. This will avoid people passing in the street to have view of units while preserve city scape panorama for residence.
There are some parameters which affect the organization of units in this project. Such as optimizing gain of light, set back limitations of urban rules in upper floors, view to Siosepol and panorama city scape. So instead of typical north- south or east- west units we used a different way of organizing units which varies in each floor. This lead to more gain of natural light for residence.
different spaces (living room, bedrooms etc.) of each unit has been positioned differently in each floor but some spaces which needs connection to risers and ducts (WC, kitchen etc.) have been located in the same place in different floors. This modified program has affected façade of the project and caused a horizontal movement of openings in different floors.
