Over two years Semler Group (Denmarks biggest car importer) redesigned, renovated and reinhabited their existing headquarter at Park Allé, Brøndby.
Learnings from the pandemic were used to establish the future workspace and The Semler way of working, supporting mobility as their core performance.
It was an ambitious project where the HQ was fully functioning during the ongoing construction. The process was divided into four stages which enabled us to test, evaluate and adjust the space planning and interior design on the go.
LAIKA’s role and services in the project have included process design, vision and leadership involvement, user involvement and needs coverage, conceptual design development and retail design, change management, implementation and styling.
LAIKA also supervised the brand directors in the transition into activity-based workspaces – which was empowered by the fact that everybody could see and feel the concept as the first stages of the HQ were completed.
Besides being a project of high interior quality, it was also full of courage and fun. There is a straightforward design reference to the car throughout the building, both in 1:1 objects such as car-spare parts and interior materials like leather, chrome and lacquered surfaces.
