Veljko Milkovic's Self-heating
eco-house building concept or solar sod house is an innovative principle of passive
solar building design with high energy efficiency and savings in heating, cooling, lighting and
building material based on the use of the reflecting surfaces for amplifying solar gain on the
earth sheltered objects.
Self-heating eco-house concept is
the only house building concept where highest energy savings are achieved with
minimum investments.

The Cheapest and
Simplest Passive Solar Technology
So far, around ten of these
houses have been built (4 in Novi Sad, in Sombor, Zaje?ar, Ljig... (Serbia)). The first one
was built in 1979, and all relevant factors concerning this construction method have been
monitored. It has been shown that the energy savings in this solar sod house are 85%, tenants
are very satisfied with accommodation, and the construction costs are less than the
construction of the over-ground house.
This type of house was the first to have both a high degree of
construction savings and heating savings
Instead of a traditional roof,
ecological house has a layer of soil, protecting the house from low winter and high summer
temperatures. In addition, walls are protected from erosion. Ecological house does
not require deep foundation, large area for heating material, heating installations etc.
Savings in heating is based on
reflecting surfaces i.e. surfaces that reflect direct and diffuse radiation of the Sun
(around 80%). These are glossy coats (of lacquer and paint), aluminium foils and metal sheets
on hard surface. You can also use milk-white paint, which is also acceptable since there is
not much diffusion loss because the reflecting surfaces are positioned next to the window.
The upper reflecting surface is
built into the eaves of the object and is fixed. The lower one is positioned under the
window and can serve as a shutter.
Special attention should be paid
to reflecting surfaces, since they are the cheapest solar device which, in addition to
heating, also increases the presence of light within the object.
Glossy foils, metal sheets and
coats on hard surface can be positioned on upper or lower part of the house. Upper
reflecting surface is fixed and built into the eaves, and the lower one is movable and can be used as a
shutter.

ili solarna zemunica je inovativni princip dizajna pasivne solarne
arhitekture koji predstavljaju stambene objekte visoke energetske
efikasnosti koji se greju pomoću sunčeve energije, dizajnirani su tako
da umesto krova imaju zemljani omotač oko konstrukcije kuće sa
instaliranim reflektujućih površina oko prozorskih okvira kuće kao
inovativnom solarnom tehnologijom za pojačavanje solarnog dobitka tj.
količine toplote i svetla koje uđe u kuću.
Samogrejna ekološka kuća je jedina kuća kod koje se sa najmanje ulaganja ostvaruju najveće uštede energije.
Idejni tvorac i autor ovog koncepta gradnje je akademik Veljko Milkovi?, istraživač i pronalazač iz Novog Sada.Ušteda u grejanju se zasniva
na reflektujućim površinama. Pod ovim podrazumevamo površine koje
u velikoj meri reflektuju direktno i difuzno zračenje Sunca (oko 80%). To
su sjajni premazi (lakovi i boje), aluminijumske folije i limovi na čvrstoj
podlozi, a po želji se može koristiti i mlečno bela boja, koja
je takođe prihvatljiva jer se zbog difuzije ne gubi mnogo pošto su reflektujuće
površine neposredno uz prozor.
Gornja reflektujuća površina je ugrađena
u strehu objekta i ona je najčešće fiksna, dok se donja nalazi ispod prozora,
pokretna je i služi kao kapak.
Reflektujućim površinama treba posvetiti
posebnu pažnju jer su one najjeftiniji solarni uređaj koji pored toplotnog
dejstva služi i za povećanje unutrašnje osvetljenosti objekta.
Sjajne folije, limovi ili premazi na čvrstoj površini, mogu se postaviti ispod ili iznad. Gornja reflektujuća
površina je fiksna i uklopljena u strehu, a donja je pokretna preko dana
u podešenom položaju, te se može potpuno zatvoriti i kao kapak.
Reflektujuće površine predstavljaju najjeftiniji
solarni uređaj koji pored toplotnog dejstva, služi i za povećanje unutrašnje
osvetljenosti objekta. Na taj način se ostvarila ušteda u osvetljenju od
oko 30% kod novosadske eko kuće.website
