Louis Kahn considered architecture as society of rooms. However, the houses that are built with the 60% footprint rule and in the infill plots of Iran hide this community behind a façade. Self- Fabric house is a small family complex that does not accept the façade as a fate.
By shrinking the upper layers, the project forms private and tiny courtyards in the lower layers. In terms of architecture, the Self- Fabric house is considered a challenge to the relationship between parts and the whole, and turns the common whole into stacked parts; components that end up in a central courtyard at the top.
