The insertion of a second "skin" to the building, which will denote a clear contemporary language . On the other hand, this second “skin” must permit a clear and comprehensive understanding of the original structure of the building, through the remaining architectural elements that show, after all, the true identity of the building. For this reason, the second "skin", will be transparent, in glass.
That the building could resume the role it once played in the city of Moscow, as an important cultural facility, primarily linked to the cinema, but also allowing other cultural offerings. In this sense, the intervention propose the use of audio visual media in order to permit the projecting of big size images to the exterior of the building and to its surroundings. These images will be primarily informational- of the events that are happening inside the building - movies, shows, meetings, etc., but also of other cultural activities taking place elsewhere in the city of Moscow.Capitalizing the building, not only through new cultural offerings , but also through the creation of interior commercial spaces. In this sense, the intervention suggests that the second "skin" of the building should be mounted on the outer periphery of the existing gallery, thereby gaining a new covered area where could be created new individual commercial areas (small cafes, small shops, etc.) in the two floors of the building. At the same time, this new area could be used as a public circulation which will operate during the day.
