Built on a prominent lot in the town of Seaside, the renowned master-planned community on Florida's Gulf Coast, this beach residence evokes the architectural gestures found on many coastal houses across the Eastern Seaboard. The simple painted shingle-clad volume of the house is the backdrop to the elliptical two-story front porch.

The interior plan forms a loft-like space on the ground floor and two bedrooms atop, clad with painted white boards and structure expressed throughout.

This house received a 2014 Palladio Award for a New Design & Construction - under 5,000 s.f. from Clem Labine's Period Homes and Traditional Building Magazines.
