In an effort to better serve the community in the Rancho Bernardo area, Scripps Health worked with PCA in the development of a medical-office building at Innovation Corporate Center. The site for the new facility was a parking lot that was being utilized at the time to accommodate overflow parking for the adjacent Scripps Medical Clinic.
Pacific Cornerstone Architects (PCA) designed an energy efficient 150,677 sf, 5-story medical Office building and a 250,000 sf, 6 story cast in place parking structure within the confines of 3.06 acres. Expediting the process, PCA provided support for entitlement of this site for densified medical use
On the exterior, the shell design of the five story building was envisioned by PCA to fit within the overall master plan of the surrounding business park, the Innovation Corporate Center. PCA used stone cladding, metal accents, large glass expanses, and stately landscaping to both fit in and stand out..
When Patients and staff enter the medical office building they will experience a warm relaxing professional atmosphere in a facility that provides quality health-care services and the latest technologies available. The result is a Scripps Health MOB that is betterpositioned to serve the needs of the community for years to come.
