SIZE
3000 sqft - 5000 sqft
Designed by the owner and co-founder of Scoot|Edwards Architecture, the award-winning Scott Residence highlights the home's humble building materials and construction process in a contemporary high-end design. The owner/designer of this residence wanted to build a beautiful, modern home that would also reclaim some of his past. Raised in a family that owned a lumber yard/construction company, Sid Scott, owner and co-founder of Scott|Edwards Architecture, wanted a home that expressed the use of simple “off the shelf” construction materials and the art of construction framing. The residence was built on an undeveloped 5,000 sf infill lot that slopes to the east and features a large Star Magnolia tree along with commanding views of Mount Hood and the Willamette Valley. The award-winning Portland residence has features expansive walls of glass, large open spaces and thoughtful placement on the site to bridge the gap between interior and exterior space.
