The inspiration for this bar was a direct reinterpretation of a 1920s Scottish bar, where it was illegal to consume alcoholic beverages in the United States. Until the 1930s, when the famous clandestine "speakeasy" bars were created, where the Scottish design of wood moldings, metal details, marble bars, and so on began to gain relevance.
We adapted this reinterpretation to the current era, considering Mexico City a cosmopolitan city where we can find exclusive and luxurious venues. Thus, the idea of combining classic and contemporary elements was born, generating a unique style where the white-painted moldings and architectural elements are painted during the different facets of day and night, capturing the indirect amber light, the reflections in the bottles on the bars, and the chrome plating, always maintaining a very warm lighting. The user becomes the moving element with the murmur that takes us back to the closely guarded secrets of the "speakeasys." We took advantage of the space's location to integrate the terrace concept and break down the barrier between exterior and interior. We placed trees in the center of the space to create a meeting place where the limit is now the "sky," in addition to the bar where the moldings are the protagonist.
