The Science II Building is a new, state-of-the art science facility providing teaching and research laboratories for the chemistry and biology departments of the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics. Set on the banks of the American River, this five-story facility will house specialized laboratories, learning studios, classrooms, collaborative spaces, a planetarium, and an observatory. Glass walls separate teaching laboratories and public corridors to promote ‘science on display,’ and the building provides indoor and outdoor student collaboration spaces and terraces that connect with the adjacent American river and natural campus surroundings.
