Designed and Built by Tima Bell and Scott Sullivan, the SCI-Arc Graduation Pavilion is a tensile structure that was comprised of Aircraft Mechanical Fasteners, Hand Planed Wood and custom Dyed fabric. With a $500 budget, many of the materials were donated. The Design of the Pavilion was as much about the details within the construction as the the master plan itself. The fence-like structure opened up to the sun in 9.5 degree increments, tracking the progress to allow maximum shade at all times.
