Oliv Architekten's competition entry for the Schützenstrasse development received the fourth place and a special mention. In an international field of participants with the Who's Who of the European architecture scene, Oliv's design is the highest-placed design by a Munich office.
Schützenstraße is part of the axis between the new main station and the historic center/Isartor. The street has been characterized by the Hertie (Karstadt) department store since the 1970s. Our design refers to the inner-city development of Munich and reacts to the large-scale environment in the north and the small-scale „Gründerzeit“ development in the south. The sustainability concept of our design focuses on the current and future requirements for architecture and the lowest possible CO2 footprint.
