Riešė St. Faustina Kovalska Primary School will be renovated, becoming a modern facility and creating new spaces for the local community.
More than ten times more space – more opportunities for everyone
After the renovation, the total area of the Riešė School will increase more than tenfold, to almost 6,800 square metres. This will create a modern, comfortable and functional environment suitable for the education of children of different ages and the needs of the entire community.
The school complex will include various spaces:
Preschool and pre-school education buildings – with classrooms, play and recreation areas, kitchens, sanitary facilities and common rooms.
A primary education building with modern classrooms, laboratories, technology and music rooms.
Educational courtyards, cosy rest and relaxation areas, blending naturally into the green landscape.
Sports, culture and safety – all in one place
A separate sports hall will house a multifunctional infrastructure combining sports, arts and community needs:
On the first floor, there will be a spacious sports hall with changing rooms and sanitary facilities, a school canteen with kitchen facilities and two technology classrooms.
On the second floor, there will be a school assembly hall with changing rooms and make-up rooms, a dance hall and as many as eight music school classrooms.
Underneath the sports hall, a shelter will be built to ensure safety in case of emergencies.
When designing the school, great attention was paid to the local community. The main entrance will not only serve as the gateway to the school, but also as an open space for community events, with a planned event square for celebrations, concerts, meetings and local initiatives.
Sustainability – more than just technology, it’s an attitude
The school will not only be modern, but also environmentally friendly. The project integrates sustainable solutions:
A solar power plant on the roof will ensure the efficient use of renewable energy.
The roof terrace will become an educational area for children, where educational activities, gardening and time in nature are planned.
This project is not just about buildings. It is about the future of children, strengthening the community and making a long-term investment in an environment that is good for growing, learning and creating.
