At the Schoellerbank headquarters in Vienna, a sensitive renovation was necessary in order to meet the changed functional requirements of modern banking operations. A new, discreetly integrated cash desk area and the complete redesign of the meeting zones on the first floor and second floor were at the heart of the concept.
destilat developed an interior design that not only aims to optimize the space, but also reflects a new usage concept: Internal and external meetings were clearly separated in terms of function - this new structure is consistently reflected in the furnishings, choice of materials and tonality of the rooms.
The existing building complex - an impressive interplay of historical substance and contemporary extension - provided the design basis. The new concept by destilat continues this architectural dialogue: materials and color schemes have been carefully adapted to the present day, while retaining specific references to the historical substance of the Viennese inner-city palace.
Fine textures, high-quality surfaces and a restrained color palette create an atmosphere of calm and seriousness - essential for discreet consultation and trusting communication. The new meeting rooms convey clarity, style and value without getting lost in decorative exaggeration.
With the redesign, destilat has succeeded in further developing the identity of Schoellerbank in spatial terms: between tradition and the present, between representation and function, between architecture and atmosphere.
