This residence, consisting of a design office and a master bedroom, is the result of renovating a barn that once stored farming equipment. Located in a rural area about an hour's drive from Tokyo, the 13-foot-high barn was transformed into a loft with two levels — the first for a meeting room and the second for the office. Lattice windows welcome the trees of the forest into the building, creating a tranquil feeling. The old doors of the barn have been given a new life by providing an accent for the space.
