Change is a fact of city life; to inhabit the urban is to realize the temporary. The Scaffolding House is designed to be a temporary housing solution for an adult couple (or individual), to be installed on vacant urban rooftops. Inspired by construction scaffolding, the structure consists of a kit of modular, prefabricated parts, delivered to site and quickly assembled. When residents move or the land is converted to sustainable, dense development, the structure is disassembled and returned to the manufacturer for reuse.
