“Multi-Sensory Experience”
Our home is
the extension of our self throughout space, the universe. The images which
cause the birth of our feelings are rooting within our subconscious and our
biological history. With this realization, the architectural work is never a
product of spontaneity but a derivation of deeper tensions, conflicts and
efforts occurring inside of us.
These
conflicts and tensions are imprinted with the sequential penetration of one
mass inside another and their reappearance with a new form and different
materials. The transition from the orthonormal carving and the traditional
materials to an organic form with modern materials, documents the historical
experiences. Therefore, the eye – the organ of distance and separation –
imprints, checks and investigates, whereas touch – the sense of proximity,
familiarity and love – approaches, cares and nourishes.
