This week and a half long study resulted in a replacement sauna for the Penland School of Crafts deep in the Black Mountains of North Carolina. This amenity is frequently visited by students for it’s relaxing qualities, so the experience was highly taken into consideration. This design in particular focuses on the progression through a traditional sauna. Descend. Bathe. Sauna. Plunge. Repeat.
