According to the needs of the requesting program has made a basis of an average house. Starting from the idea of preserving and rehabilitating the most interesting architectural and natural features in terms start from the idea of keeping the house's location. Its position in relation to the terrain allows us to enjoy an optimal solar exposure and release the ground to help keep their natural features. Thus, starting from the idea of keeping the implantation of the buildings, it was thought fit to keep the main house which obviously has qualities of architectural value that should be maintained, but demolish the additions and replacing them with a new building keeping its possible location. Noteworthy that all the ground is covered by the PDM type II construction zone, but in the opinion of the author of the project and the applicant shall be built where previously there was construction.
As the area to preserve the house was small then propose to its reconstruction to accommodate the entry and social areas. This rehabilitation will be made to preserve the facades and coverage while maintaining its design and materials. Inside will remain only one part of the masonry wall using it for a new distribution based on fluid spaces and contact with the rest of the house and land.
Perhaps one of the most interesting features of this home is its relationship with the land. Once the house is one of the vertices of the triangular plot, to build on the site where previously there were additions we necessarily limit this relationship and the visibility of the house recovered (area theaters) to south and the remaining land. Hence the solution leave the implementation of this new construction on the site where there was construction but also to open the house to the ground and releasing the visual dialogues abroad. This liberation inevitably involves the elevation of much of the area aa building (rooms) as base leaving just the kitchen that should be connected to the rooms and the garage that could also just be on this floor. So we'll have a new construction such as the preexisting if sweetens the boundaries of the land and binds to the "house" as if it were just a small fence paralleling the edge of the land. About this wall comes a volume that is born on the first floor of the "house", housing two bedrooms and fold-West with the suite. This folding is done with the alignment geometry and background from the enabling input and a visual axis of the rooms there for the rest of the field.
Demagoguery will not say that this new building will be a son of preexisting supporting and growing in harmony, according to the existing rules but with a contemporary language. The formal sense the project is not based on mimicry and collages of contemporary references but what came of the project needs and limitations of the interesting place.
